Murad Resurgence

So, last week I got a great facial. I purchased a Groupon for the facial at less than half of the normal price. It was at a salon/day spa that I had never been to and I ended up really loving it. The facial was considered at pomegranate envigorating facial and used Murad products. When I arrived at the salon, the woman at the desk didn't acknowledge me, so I just sat down. I assumed she knew I was there; however she apparently didn't! When she finally saw me she felt really bad that I had been waiting and apologized profusely. Turns out, this was woman doing my facial! She continued to apologize and the facial was ultra luxe and relaxing. I will definitely go back! The point of this anecdote is that when I was done with the facial the woman gave me a free Murad sample, and I'm assuming it was because of the little snafu at the beginning! My sample included two products from Murad's Resurgence line: Renewing Cleansing Cream and Sheer Lustre Day Moisturizer SPF 15. The cleanser is really nice and not too harsh. I had no complaints; however my skin is unfortunately acne prone so I use a cleanser with benzoyl peroxide or sacylic acid. For this reason I only used the Murad cleanser a few times. The moisturizer came in a smaller size and I used the whole sample. As the product name indicates, this moisturizer had a nice "lustre" to it, which was pretty. It was a little thicker than my skin can tolerate, but may be great for someone with dryer skin. These produces are available at Sephora or on the Murad website if you want to check them out!

Welcome to meticuLASH!

METICULOUS (muh TIK yoo lus) adj. characterized by extreme care and precision, attentive to detail

This is a probably a word that we could all use to describe how we choose our beauty products. We look for reviews, chat with friends, try samples. Hence, the birth of meticuLASH!

A little bit about myself: I'm currently a full-time graduate student in a field unrelated to beauty. I don't discriminate between high and low priced products, so expect to find a little bit of everything here. I love Sephora, but I love to browse the beauty aisles in Target too! I created this blog to share my thoughts about products that I'm trying and hope to get feedback and advice from readers as well!
